The Conservation Lands Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to expand and protect National Conservation Lands in the United States. They achieve long-lasting conservation through community-based action. Through grant giving, capacity building, and field support, they’ve grown their Friends Grassroots Network into powerful voices that decision makers listen to.

They are the only nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and expanding America’s National Conservation Lands – 37 million acres (and growing!) of public lands, rivers, and trails. They have partnered with Black Voice News for this important event to highlight the need for greater equity and access to public lands.

As a newspaper that publishes in the spirit of the Black Press, the Black Voice News has given voice to the voiceless and shined a light on systemic inequities and disparities since 1972.
We bear the responsibility of informing and engaging our community with pertinent information. To fulfill this mandate, we rigorously research and curate high-quality data, ensuring the delivery of reliable and accountable insights. There are substantial deficiencies in the quality of data concerning Black communities throughout the state. BVN is bridging these gaps by developing essential measurement and accountability tools to address our most pressing issues. Furthermore, we forge partnerships with organizations such as the Conservation Lands Foundation to illuminate significant solutions for the Inland Empire region and beyond.
